Welcome to my website. This site gives information about me and my work as an Advocate in Scotland. The information is intended to be useful to instructing solicitors, but also to their clients who may be unfamiliar with the role an advocate can play in their particular case.
I was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 2000 having practised as a court solicitor for the previous 5 years.
I am a member of Ampersand stable. My clerk is Alan Moffat who manages my practice along with deputies Paula Reeder, Matthew Tudor and Jennifer MacLeod.
As a general rule, instructions should be sent to my clerks who will deal with any initial queries and pass them on to me. They also maintain my diary, and deal with any queries about my availability and fees.
I operate an electronic diary which is updated as soon as instructions are received. This can be accessed by my clerks and by instructing agents who have registered to do so.
